DISCHARGED HOSPITAL PATIENTS URGED TO CALL RDNS DIRECT

Patients affected by a State Government decision to withdraw publicly-funded home nursing services are being urged to contact RDNS direct.

The Government has announced that, from 1 August, discharged private hospital patients will no longer be eligible for Government-funded RDNS home nursing services. Public hospital patients are not affected.

RDNS is  receiving calls from people concerned about who will provide home nursing services for these patients  Many health funds cover home nursing in their policies. RDNS urges private hospital patients with health fund cover to check if they are covered for home nursing. If so, we can continue to provide them with home nursing services.

If someone needs our care, RDNS will do their utmost to provide  support including those in financial hardship. RDNS is the largest not-for-profit home nursing service in South Australia and  clients always come first.  Those effected by the change in government policy, please contact RDNS to discuss your options on 1300 364 264
